Welcome to E-Intermart Inc.

We are an internet services company running out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Mail Changes (2004/05/22)

Due to recent changes, the username%domain.ext format is no longer used for e-mail usernames. You will need to replace the percent sign and use the standard format:

WebMail

E-Intermart now supports webmail. You can log in with your regular e-mail username and password.

Web-based E-mail Configuration

To configure the e-mail for your domain, use CourierVirtual.

SPF

We support the Sender Permitted From initiative.

SPF is a technique to prevent spammers from forging e-mail that says it originates from your domain. Once SPF records are published for your domain, SPF-compilant mail agents will be able to drop forged messages.

What do I need to do to get ready for SPF at E-Intermart?
If you have a domain hosted at E-Intermart, you will need to send mail from that domain through E-Intermart's mail servers.

Let's say that your domain is mydomain.com. If you send a message that has a From address of <anything>@mydomain.com, that mail will now need to be sent through E-Intermart's servers. To do so, you will need to modify the settings for your outgoing mail in your mail client. Here are the settings that you will need to use:

    SMTP Server: mail.e-intermart.com
    Username: <Your standard POP3 username>
    Password: <Your standard POP3 password>
When do I need to have SPF set up by?
Unless we are notified, we will be publishing SPF records for all hosted domains by January 31, 2004. After that point, any mail that you send from your domain must go through the E-Intermart mail server. Any mail not send through the E-intermart mail server will likely be dropped.
Does this affect incoming mail?
Your incoming mail will not be affected. Anyone will still be able to send mail to you at your domain. You only need to worry about making changes if you send mail with a From address that contains your domain name.
Who can I contact about the changes?
Please contact Patrick Earl if you have questions, comments, or any difficulties.
